Q. What’s the parking situation?
There’s parking lot access, though due to high frequency of traffic to the shopping center, we ask that you walk to the studio whenever possible
Q. Is clay included in the membership fee?
A. Yes! You are allowed 2 bags of clay per month with the cost of your membership.
Q. What types of clay does your studio offer?
A. We supply Aardvarks cone 5 Bone White as our main clay for studio use, but other varieties of clay will be available for purchase. This is going to be a cone 5/6 oxidation firing studio only.
Q. What hand building equipment do you have?
A. Our studio provides large work tables, a wedging table, a slab roller, ware boards, basic hand building tools and forms (plaster/cardboard/foam). Any specialized or personal tools may be brought in for use if stored on your shelf.
Q: What is your membership cancellation policy?
A. You can cancel your membership with a 14 day notice via email, otherwise we will charge you 50% of the following month's fee.
Q. Can I pause my membership if I’m leaving town?
A. Yes! You can pause your membership and we will hold your shelf in the studio for a fee of $85 per month. Pausing vs. canceling your membership will guarantee you an available membership when you are ready to return. It will also guarantee your shelf in the event the studio outgrows its current space availability to new members.
Q. Do you fire work that has been made outside of your studio?
A. We offer a Firing Membership for home work, however you can discuss firing needs for large amounts of work. Full/Partial kiln rentals will be available in special circumstances.
Q. Does your studio host pottery sales?
A. We will offer the opportunity for members to participate in sales twice a year in our studio! We provide tables, table clothes, fliers, online marketing, a gift bagging station, and refreshments for our makers on the day of the sale.
Q. Do you offer classes?
A. Yes! As our name implies,The Clay Corner is a Teaching studio, along with membership studios. In the future we will also be hosting advanced workshops for more complex ceramic techniques.
Q. How do I sign up for a class?
A. All Classes will be available through links on our main page. There will be a schedule with available seats for ongoing/single person workshops. Memberships don't need to be scheduled, however all new members will have to meet in person to be shown studio along with common studio policies/practices.
Q. How should I prepare for my private class?
A. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty, trim your nails, tie your hair up if it’s long, and remove jewelry. All class fees include instruction, clay, glaze, firing, and use of studio tools, so you do not need to bring or purchase any other supplies.
Q. How many people can you book in a private class?
A. 2-6 students. For larger parties or corporate events please reach out through the contact information provided on our website.
Q: How long does it take for my pieces to be fired?
A: For private one time classes the turnaround time is 4–6 weeks. We will contact you as soon as your pieces are ready to be picked up.
Q: What is your workshop cancellation policy?
A: We offer full credit to your shopify account for cancellations made at least 7 days before the workshop. Cancellations made 48 hrs before the workshop will be credited 50% to your shopify account. No credit/refunds for any other cancellations. Thank you in advance for understanding.
Q: What is your class cancellation policy?
A. There are no refunds, but you may reschedule for another available time. We require you to cancel 72 hrs in advance.
Q. Do you offer classes for kids?
A. Unfortunately we do not offer any classes for kids (yet) in the future we will have offerings available for kids 6-12.

All work created during classes at The Clay Corner is made as part of the learning process. While students typically take home finished pieces, any ceramic work produced in our studio should be considered a learning byproduct, not a guaranteed outcome of the class or membership.
Due to the nature of ceramics — including drying, firing, glazing, and handling — The Clay Corner is not responsible for any damage, cracking, warping, glaze results, or loss of work at any stage of the process.
By participating in classes or studio sessions, students acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of ceramic production and agree that finished work is not guaranteed and is provided as-is if returned.
